To the North there is Appi the biggest modern resort in the area but you can also enjoy pristine back country in Hakkoda and Hachimantai. Zao Onsen is located in the center and is well know to the world for the Snow Monster (Jyuhyou). To the South we have modern resorts such as Alts Bandai which has the biggest terrain park in Asia.
