| IXSM (International Xtreme Sports Marketing) originally
began operation in sports marketing in 2002. Through athlete management
and event/media coordination, we were able to form a network of industry
connections. The knowledge and contacts gained in these early experiences
would later lead to the expansion of IXSM's travel division (IxsmTravel).
IxsmTravel was the first licensed travel agency in Japan specialising in inbound Ski/Snowboard holidays. We led a movement to offer holiday activities in addition to Skiing/Snowboarding, filling a gap left by existing tour operators. And after helping to establish the hugely popular town of Niseko, we moved base to Nozawa Onsen and continue to concentrate on developing and promoting new destinations. Why Choose IxsmTravel? We are able to do this through our constant efforts to finding and implementing efficient and cost-saving systems. Everything that we offer is an optional service and we won't include any unnecessary services that you do not request. Furthermore, we make our reservations directly to accommodation/service providers to minimise unnecessary service costs. We are also the provider for a number of original services, which allows us to offer heavily discounted prices. Be it the authenticity, the nightlife, the mountain or the snow, we pride ourselves on knowing our every product. Through our travels, we have formed strong relationships with local suppliers, gathered a wealth of local knowledge and taken many original photos. With this, we are confident that we can give you the right answers to direct your clients to the right destinations. Media Relations We orgnise editorial trips for media from across the globe. From professional ski/snowboard teams to national television personalities, we have had the pleasure to work with some highly regarded individuals. Traveling alongside some of the most respected figures in the snow industry has given us the opportunity to acquire real-time and professional feedback. These opinions are now a staple for the products and recommendations that we pass onto customers and clients. Local Support With our base in Nagano, another great strength lies in our ability to be close to your clients and offer on-site assistance, especially in Nozawa Onsen, Myoko Kogen, Shiga Kogen and Hakuba. Specifically, our information centre in Nozawa Onsen means that each of these major resorts is never very far away. This helps us to be flexible in the way that we can offer 24 hour on call emergency assistance and react to incidents should any occur. Information Center & Cafe We are also unique from other tour operators in that we have an Information Center & Cafe accessible to customers.
