The steep and jagged cliff lines of Jigokudani Valley, hazed by the rising steam from the very depths of the earth, creates a back drop not soon to be forgotten. Locals aptly named the site ‘Jigokudani’ (Hell’s Valley) after its close resemblance to Hell. Not as scary as it sounds however, and remains a truly memorable experience safe for all ages. We here at IXSM pioneered the very first tour to come see these wild Macaque monkeys relaxing in their natural hot spring baths, and are proud to be able to offer the original and best chance to see the Snow Monkeys of Japan. After visiting with the Monkeys we offer you the exclusive look into the historic Onsen Village of Shibu. This village was frequented by Samurai, poets and travelers alike; all looking to recharge and heal wearied or battle damaged bodies. Good fortune is said to come to those that bathe in all the Onsens in town. This village is a picture from the past. As you stroll through the narrow streets lined with traditional buildings, some hundreds of years old, you might just get to see some friends from the Monkey Park as they wander through town looking for food and maybe an open door to an Onsen. CONDITIONS

Tour Conditions Please assemble at the departure point at least 10 minutes before the departure time. The tour is operated on days where the required minimum numbers of bookings are confirmed. Transport vehicles are subject to change, and dependent on the number of tour bookings. Buses may be delayed due to traffic conditions or bad weather. Tours may be cancelled due to disasters, road closures, etc. Please contact us for details.

Cancellations After the booking is confirmed: ¥500 1 day prior: 50% of the total price The day of the tour: 100% of the total price

BOOKING REQUEST

Booking Conditions Tour requests must be booked in order for guests to be placed upon the tour waiting list. We require your credit card details to process your booking (Payments are not immediately processed, and will only be finalised if and when the tour is confirmed). No charge will be made to your credit card if the service is not available on your requested date. * We understand and respect the importance of your privacy and security. Booking Procedure 1. Add number of guests (specify adult/child) and click the "add this to my cart" button and go to The Shopping Cart. *If you want to book for multiple age groups, please add each product to your cart before checking out. if an infant requires a seat, please book for them as a child. 2. Click the "checkout" button and "sign up" or “sign in” 3. Complete the checkout process.

Confirming Your Booking 1. You will immediately receive an email detailing your booking request. 2. You will receive an email "Payment Update" within 24 hours with your request status. 3. If your booking is not immediately confirmed, your request status will be “Waiting” until the tour date passes or your tour is confirmed. 4. Most tour bookings are made on the morning of the tour, so tours may only be confirmed on the tour morning. 5. If and when the tour has been confirmed, we will reconfirm your booking.
